BR2 Next-Generation Design
New-generation BR2 internal design architecture that improves reliability and performance in the compact 2-inch class.
The HABC-20 is Drill King International’s smallest DTH hammer — a compact, high-frequency DK20 class tool engineered for small-diameter drilling in the 2.75″–3.5″ / 70–90 mm bit range. Built on a next-generation BR2 platform with a valved design optimized for low-pressure operation, the HABC-20 addresses geotechnical investigation, mineral exploration, blast-hole pre-collaring, water well pilot holes, and other programs where a lightweight, compact hammer with low air demand is essential.
At just 28.6 lbs / 13 kg and 2.44″ / 62 mm outer diameter, the HABC-20 is portable, rig-compatible with light and compact drilling platforms, and capable of delivering a wide impact frequency range of 979–1,548 blows per minute across a 100–250 PSI working pressure window. The valved BR2 design enables reliable operation at lower compressor pressures — making the HABC-20 usable on a wider range of compressor and rig combinations than conventional small-diameter DTH hammers.
Standard connection is W+H Taper Pin, with an optional RD50 Box available to extend compatibility with a broader range of light drill string configurations. Drill King’s Repair & Rebuild kits keep the HABC-20 field-serviceable with a straightforward 17-part assembly that technicians can maintain on site.

A disk valve in the air distribution circuit enables reliable, efficient operation from as low as 100 PSI / 6.9 Bar, significantly broadening compressor compatibility for light drilling programs.
Covers 2.75"–3.5" / 70–90 mm bit diameters — the smallest bore class in the Drill King DTH hammer lineup, for geotechnical, exploration, and small-diameter drilling programs.
979 to 1,548 blows per minute across the 100–250 PSI operating range — a wide performance envelope that scales with available compressor pressure.
At 28.6 lbs / 13 kg and 2.44" OD, compatible with compact, lightweight, and portable drilling platforms including truck-mounted, trailer, and man-portable drill rigs.
W+H Taper Pin top sub supplied as standard, with an optional RD50 Box connection available to suit a wider range of small-diameter drill string standards.
Hardened 4.0 lbs / 1.82 kg piston for extended service life in abrasive small-diameter formations.
Easy, cost-effective field maintenance of the 17-part assembly keeps the HABC-20 operational on remote geotechnical and exploration programs.
Operates on just 27–105 CFM / 0.75–2.98 M³/Min across the full pressure range — suitable for programs where compressor capacity is limited.
All wear-critical components — wear sleeve, bit bearing, bit retaining ring, and chuck seal — treated for extended service intervals.

The 2.44" OD, lightweight build, and low air demand suit geotechnical investigation programs including soil and rock classification bores, SPT coring, in-situ testing, and site characterization drilling on construction and infrastructure sites.
Widely used in early-stage mineral exploration — pre-collar drilling, chip sampling, structural mapping bores, and reverse circulation (RC) sampling on light RC or conventional exploration rigs.
Low air consumption and compact size suit pilot hole drilling ahead of larger-diameter water well programs, plus groundwater monitoring bores, piezometer installations, and water quality sampling holes.
Reliable DTH penetration in the 70–90 mm range at a size and weight compatible with light drilling equipment on restricted or elevated bench faces.
Built tough enough for the unpredictability of job sites, our equipment minimizes costly downtime and re-drills.
Every hole counts, and our tools are built to keep penetration rates high even in unpredictable, mixed formations.
Engineered for open-pit and underground alike, our tools lower per-meter drilling costs without sacrificing performance.
Engineered for the rigors of well-site conditions, our hammers and bits extend service life while reducing per-foot drilling costs.
Less downtime, fewer bit changes, more material moved. That's the Drill King difference for quarry operators who can't afford to slow down.
From residential wells to large-scale geothermal fields, our tools are trusted to get the job done right the first time
